The objective of the School Improvement Manager is to ensure quality implementation of Cambridge Programs and Services with the goal of optimizing school, teacher and student performance.  This will be done by building strong relationships with school stakeholders and by performing a school-needs assessment with the ultimate goal of improving school and student year over year performance and growing our suite of support offerings.  The School Improvement Manager plays a key role within the Cambridge International organization to help grow market share through the analysis of the depth and breadth of our offerings at the schools and by making suggestions on ways to increase the uptake of our syllabi and training services.  The School Improvement Manager will be on the front lines of supporting our schools through site visits and phone calls with key staff including Exam Officers, Coordinators and Principals

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Evaluate the performance of schools in the assigned territory and work collaboratively with the schools to help them improve year over year
  • Conduct annual performances with schools
  • Increase the adoption of our syllabi by recommending new courses or recommending ways to expand access to syllabi already in use.
  • Increase the adoption of our support systems including training, online resources such as Test Maker, Resource Plus, or CEM, and our other School Improvement Services
  • Work with new schools from registration through implementation to ensure fidelity of implementation and success for the schools, teachers and students.

 

What were looking for

  • Essential Skills
    • Extensive knowledge of the implementation of advanced academics at the school level.
    • Excellent communication skills including writing, running presentations and running meetings.
    • Familiarity with a flexible approach to implementing advanced academic programs.
    • Management of senior level stakeholder relationships including Assistant Principals, Principals and district staff.
    • Experience in teacher support or academic improvement at the school or district level.
  • Desired Skills
    • Knowledge of Cambridge programs and qualifications
    • Some technical knowledge of assessment and of key educational issues in the market
    • Previous experience as a Cambridge coordinator or Exam’s Officer or teacher
    • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
