An exciting opportunity has arisen in Sales & Marketing team at OCR (Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations) for a Digital Marketing Executive.
OCR is a leading UK exam board, dedicated to recognising achievement in learners of all ages across a range of qualifications with choices for learners of all ages, abilities and needs. Over 13,000 schools, colleges, workplaces and other institutions use our A Levels, GCSEs and vocational qualifications. 

What you'll be doing

As our Digital Marketing Executive you will support the delivery of digital marketing activities to our existing and prospective customers. This will include creating effective content for digital marketing campaigns across a variety of channels, including e-mail, social media and web optimised copy. 
In addition to producing content, you will assist our Digital Marketing Manager with analysing and reporting on the effectiveness of our digital communications based on performance data and using this to plan and forecast future activity.


Responsibilities may include:

  • Draft compelling and effective written digital content that adheres to OCR’s policy and brand guidelines; contribute effectively to relevant paid for and organic communications activity across the business that meets best practice.
  • Liaise with the other departments to understand the needs of the business to provide digital marketing advice and guidance organise the set-up of appropriate digital platforms and provide training and support.
  • Responsible for proofing of approved marketing communications content and upload to digital platforms, ensure any issues are quickly escalated internally or externally.
  • Responsible for daily monitoring of OCR branded social media channels escalating social media trends or technical issues with stakeholders or third-party suppliers.
  • Provide the relevant daily, weekly or monthly performance insight for inclusion into a wide-range of reports and dashboards, using the available management platforms to collect metrics.
  • Responsible for the daily administration including maintaining financial information, supplier logs, image assets, process documents and raising purchase orders.


What we're looking for
To succeed in this role, you will be able to draw on your experience of working in a fast-paced digital marketing environment with some experience of using online platforms and tools, including analytics, social media management and e-mail marketing platforms. 
This role carries responsibility for day to day management of external suppliers and internal stakeholders, including colleagues in our Campaigns and Product teams.

  • minimum of one year's digital marketing or social media experience
  • confident operating social media channels including social management and monitoring tools
  • working knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and email marketing solutions
  • confident in working with and supporting a variety of department and objectives
  • working to strict deadlines with the ability to multi-task and prioritise own work-load.
  • working effectively with third-party agencies and external suppliers
  • familiarity and knowledge of web analytics tools and paid digital marketing/social platforms and best practice.
  • working knowledge of Photoshop (CS4/6) for image manipulation
  • some experience/knowledge of HTML and SEO principals would be desirable.
