What it's about
An opportunity has arisen to join the Assessor Management Communications Team as Communications Officer (Support Community Manager) to maintain and develop the OCR Assessment Specialist Community, which is hosted on the Yammer social networking platform.
Reporting to the Assessment Specialist Communications Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Assessment Specialist Community. As Communications Officer (Support Community Manager) you’ll monitor Community conversations and produce and post multi-media content to the Community and to the OCR Connections webpage, as well contribute to the general communications outputs of the Communications Team.

You’ll possess strong communication and IT skills, enabling you to ensure key messages are promoted effectively to Community members. You’ll have excellent proofreading and copywriting skills and an interest in producing video, audio and animation content that engages and informs.

Along with the ability to work independently, you will also have excellent interpersonal skills, helping you to liaise and build strong relationships with OCR colleagues and other stakeholders at all levels. A positive self-starter with a flexible attitude, you will have a confident, professional approach to your work.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the management of the online community and engagement with assessors
  • In liaison with the Assessment Specialist Communications Manager, produce and edit content for posts and moderate discussions and contributions in the community.
  • Support the development of new and innovative ways of informing, engaging and consulting assessors to improve their experience of engaging with OCR, and to improve OCR’s insight about and input from assessors.
  • Support the communications outputs of the Communications Team.

Experience

  • Active involvement in social media activity and experience of championing social media and its application.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages.
  • Knowledge of the assessment process and of assessment models.
