Job Title: Administrator - Assessor Management

Contract: Part-Time, (18 hours per week), Permanent 

Salary: £17,000 - £21,300 (pro-rata)

What it’s about

A part time administrator vacancy has become available on the Invites Team within Assessor Management in Coventry reporting to the Training and Invites Officer.  The role is a job share and you will be required to work 18 hours across Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  You will be required to cover at least one 5pm shift during these days.

Working to tight deadlines, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks and you will gain knowledge of both S&E and E&L qualifications and processes.  Main tasks will include commissioning Assessment Specialists for a variety of roles and arranging payment of completed tasks.

The Invites team currently works closely alongside the Training Team so at busier times you may be required to assist with their work so there are plenty of opportunities for learning, cross skilling and broadening your knowledge.

We have strong relationships with Finance, the QP Management Teams in Operations and the ASSM’s so good communication skills are imperative.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Responsible for completing a range of tasks within the Assessor Management area with the prime focus being in the Invites team.  Supporting other Assessor Management functions as required.
  • Report any processing exceptions not covered by the working instructions so that the appropriate course of action may be agreed. Report any processing failures in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Supervise temporary staff during peak processing periods and support other administrative assistants within the department.
  • Provide effective input into the planning and review of admin processes and also User Acceptance Test current and new systems, reporting defects and possible solutions.
  • Provide a positive and professional service to customers (assessors), ensuring enquiries are managed effectively.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 qualifications (to include Maths and English) or equivalent experience

Skills

  • Decision-making – able to apply knowledge of role and area in order to make sound business decisions and escalate where appropriate.
  • Communication – explain ideas clearly and fluently in writing and verbally.
  • IT – able to use software packages to produce appropriate materials.
  • Numeracy – is able to interpret data comfortably.

  • OCR’s processing systems – must understand the cause and effect of processing steps.
