To enable us to meet the ever increasing demand for our services, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Senior Business Change Project Manager, who will thrive in this changing environment and is motivated by delivering excellent customer service.


What you’ll be doing

To be responsible for the oversight and delivery of high profile business change and/or systems development projects across Cambridge English business areas. The post-holder will provide input to strategic prioritisation, selection of delivery approaches and stakeholder engagements.  They may also task manage and mentor project and business change managers and their multi-disciplinary teams, and will manage some key projects themselves, to ensure delivery of high-quality outcomes and organisational benefits against the strategic aims of Cambridge English stakeholders.


Business Change Programme Management  

  • To manage the delivery of projects and associated change activities for programmes in collaboration with senior management in Business Support Services and stakeholders across Cambridge English.
  • Responsible for working with service delivery partners, as appropriate, to ensure delivery schedules are executed effectively, robustly and will meet the timelines required by the business.
  • Responsible for co-ordinating the management and delivery of (extra) large and complex change activities for (IT and Non-IT) programmes.


Business Change Project Management

  • Responsible for progressing assigned (large and complex) projects through discovery and delivery stages.
  • Responsible for ensuring that projects are successful in fully meeting agreed business goals.
  • Responsible for delivering projects consistently and in adherence to prescribed gateway processes and reviews.


Business Analysis/Strategy

  • Accountable for determining the best means for satisfying delivery of requirements within the context of individual projects.
  • Contribution and recommendation regards the overarching programme strategy, in relation to determining the best means and approach for delivering requirements.


General Management

  • Provide cover, support and assistance to the project team as required to ensure tasks are completed on a timely basis across the team.
  • Provide direction and task management functions to members of the assigned project team, as appropriate.


What we’re looking for

  • Educated to Degree level (essential)
  • PMP/PRINCE II/other Project Management qualification to Practitioner level, or equivalent experience of good practice framework
  • Managing Successful Programmes (MSP – desirable)
  • Advanced  in facilitating user requirements
  • Advanced  in Project Management capabilities
  • Proficient in Programme & Strategic Management
  • Awareness of Business Analysis
  • Excellent communication (written/oral)
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management incl. chairing reviews.
  • Good general IT skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Advanced in frameworks and methodologies to support project delivery and change
  • Substantial experience of successfully delivering complex, multi-faceted business change and or technical development projects  (essential)
  • Experience with implementing user-centred design/Agile approaches (desirable)
  • Experience with managing Programmes (desirable)
