Salary: £37,000 to £48,000 (dependent on experience)

What it’s about

Our product directorate is responsible for determining OCR’s product offering to the market; General Qualifications, Vocational Qualifications and Supporting Materials & Services as well as to manage a suite of digital products and services that support teachers to deliver OCR Qualifications. 

 

The Product Support Department’s function is to define and manage the delivery of a programme of support services & materials; training packages, electronic and published media that balances cost and quality, and adds strategic and commercial value; as well as a differentiated offering, to OCR’s products.

 

What you’ll be doing

Management of our digital service products ensuring both internal and external suppliers are delivering the service required. You will monitor the current provision, reporting on performance, making enhancements and project managing new developments to improve the market offer.

 

Responsibilities could involve:

 

  • The management and delivery of OCR’s digital services. To include managing the effective delivery of the Exambuilder service working with Hodder Education, creating effective delivery plans and contributing to business cases as appropriate

    and project managing internal and third party suppliers to ensure delivery to time, cost and quality requirements

  • Supporting the effective delivery of additional digital service platforms including CPD Hub, Digital Anthology, Practical Endorsement Training, Online Delivery Guide and Scheme of Work

  • Monitoring and report on product usage and product issues on a number of products within the Digital Resources portfolio including ExamBuilder.

  • Identifying opportunities for product development and advise on new product creation

  • Ensuring products and services within the portfolio meet legal, accessibility and regulatory compliance requirements at all stages of the product lifecycle.

 

 

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of digital product management; ideally in an educational learning technology context. Your ability to work collaboratively in partnership with both internal and external stakeholders will be pivotal to your success. Well-developed project management skills in keeping all parties on track and delivering on time, to budget and quality are essential.

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree Level or equivalent
  • Project Management qualifications - desirable

 

Skills:

  • Can engage with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels to generate commitment to goals
  • Can involve partners to deliver a bsuiness outcome through collaboration that meet customer needs
  • Can capture, utlise and share customer insight and views from a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure better system performance and delivery.

 

Experience:

  • Digital service delivery experience within a large organisation
  • knowledge of and demonstrable success in managing education learning technology
  • Successful partnership working
  • experience of managing projects across teams
  • Knowledge of and work experience in the qualifications sector - desirable
