Job Title: Business Support Officer

Contract: Full time, Fixed term contract until June 2020 - This role can be classed as a secondment opportunity for internal candidates with line manager approval.

Salary: £22,400 – £28,000 (pro rata)

Location: The Triangle, Cambridge

 

What it’s about

This role will provide business support to both the Cambridge Assessment Network and the Research Division. The post involves administrative, financial and customer service duties to support the Network and Research teams and contribute to Cambridge Assessment’s profile as a provider of world-class professional development and research in assessment. The Network and Research programmes serve to showcase the expertise of the Group to key stakeholders.

 

What you’ll be doing

Network Team

  • Be responsible for the management of the Network inbox and act as first point of contact for all customer enquiries, ensuring all customer interaction is of high quality and aligned to sales growth;
  • Be responsible for collating the library of standard replies for all Network products, creating (where appropriate) FAQ pages;
  • Be the first line of support for the Network’s event management system (EventsAIR) for customer registration and payments;
  • Be responsible for the financial administration for CAN, raising purchase orders, generation and payment of consultant contracts and processing invoices for payment.

Research Team

  • Ensure smooth and timely running of research projects by assisting with producing materials, recruiting and liaising with research participants, data collection and preparation;
  • Provide administrative support for the Research Division (for example by servicing meetings);
  • Contribute to the production of research outputs: reports, papers, posters and presentations.

Both

  • Maintain positive working relationships with other groups in CSD, ARD, finance and BTS;
  • Oversee general smooth running of the office and provide general administrative support to team members.

 

What we’re looking for

Skills

  • Proficient user of Microsoft office ( Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel and Word);
  • CRM management experience;
  • Excellent at communicating both written and oral;
  • High level of autonomy and ownership of work;
  • Attention to detail.

Experience

  • Administrative work in an office environment;

The Research team conducts and publishes authoritative research in order to improve and develop Cambridge Assessment’s products and services, and to influence thinking and policy on education, curriculum and assessment. Both teams are part of the Assessment, Research and Development Division of Cambridge Assessment.
