Contract: 1x Permanent from September 2021, 1 x Maternity cover, 1 year FTC from July 2021

Salary: £33,594 - £40,000

As an OCR Subject Advisor, you will provide in-house expertise relating to our range of PE and Sport qualifications, both General Qualifications (Entry Level, GCSE, AS & A Level in PE) and our Vocational Qualifications (Cambridge Nationals in Sport Science and Sport Studies; Cambridge Technicals in Sport and Physical Activity & Sport).

Key requirements of this role include:

 

  • A passion for your subject, and the ability to be an ambassador for it with schools, the regulator and stakeholders at all levels
  • Providing high quality and knowledgeable customer service and supporting schools and teachers to deliver our qualifications
  • Providing subject input into the development and revision of qualifications
  • Growing OCR’s business through the provision of insight, partnerships and stakeholder engagement
  • Quality assurance of subject content developed by external subject experts and training of assessors


To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

 

  • Recent teaching experience and/or recent relevant work within the context of secondary education
  • Excellent subject expertise and the ability to discuss subject issues at high level with a range of stakeholders
  • An understanding of qualification delivery and assessment within your subject area
  • The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively to a range of audiences
  • The necessary behaviours required to build successful partnerships and relationships
  • Experience of successfully delivering projects on time
  • A can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills
