Reception Services Assistant

We are currently seeking a part time reception services assistant to cover our Triangle site over Saturday and Sunday each week.   

The role requires a proactive individual with a “can do“ approach who has strong interpersonal skills, that can be used to provide excellent Reception and Switchboard services to the business.


This role manages the access of visitors and staff to Cambridge Assessment sites, ensuring that high quality customer service is offered and security is upheld at all times, and also performs a number of essential tasks for the continued efficiency of other departments within Cambridge Assessment.

• Delivering high quality customer service in both a face-to-face role, via written communication and over the telephone, demonstrating a strong knowledge of the business.
• Managing the arrival and security of all visitors to the company.
• Provide an efficient switchboard service.
• Assisting with all reception administration.
• Managing the badge access system in line with company security policies, changing and adding access by request with business requirements. Monitoring and reporting any security issues.
• Managing bookings on Manhattan Space Scheduling ensuring all details are present and correct.
• Processing requests from HR for new temporary staff, keeping records up to date and organising appropriate access.
• Preparing reports on meetings for colleagues and the maintenance teams. Communicating any special requirements to appropriate departments.
• Contributing successfully to the peak standardisation meeting sessions.


Working as part of an established team you will be required to be flexible and reliable.


As the first point of contact to the business you will have exceptional customer service skills, you will also have an excellent telephone manner and proven experience of working in a customer facing role.


Knowledge of using a room booking system as well as experience in operating an electronic switchboard would be advantageous.
