We are looking for an Operations Task team leader to lead the Exam Processing team who support the delivery of Cambridge Assessment International Education's assessments ensuring we achieve the overarching goal of providing the Right Grade, First Time, On Time, Every Time.

Salary: £23,500-£26,500

Your skills as a people manager are key, as you will supervise team members in delivering business processes, whilst taking responsibility for their effective performance, professional development, and general wellbeing.


To help us continually improve, you will assist in the design and delivery of improvement projects and contribute to each post exam series review; identifying lessons learned and implementing procedural changes.


Business change is part of the routine and you will participate in its implementation and provide an end-to-end view of the impacts to colleagues and senior managers.


You will be responsible for the recording of Operational Issues and Risks on appropriate registers, followed by identification of appropriate corrective actions and implementation of solutions.


Overall you will commit to the Exam Processing team ethos of leading by example to encourage trust and open lines of communication, creating a positive environment for both colleagues and customers.  Are you up for the challenge then read on and apply …..


What we're looking for


  • Ability to review processes critically and ‘think outside the box’.
  • Demonstrable financial and commercial awareness.
  • Good prioritisation and time-management skills.
  • Eye for accuracy.
  • Min 5 GCSE at grade A-C, or equivalent, including Maths and English, is essential, and A Level standard education or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proficient user of Windows and MS Office tools.
  • Experience in a busy office/administration role.
  • People management experience.
  • Excellent business communication skills (written and verbal)


  • Knowledge of EPS, SAP or similar large data driven processing systems.
  • Experience of working in customer facing roles.
  • Experience within User Acceptance Testing and business change process activities.



  • Learns new skills and processes easily and quickly.
  • Treats own mistakes as a learning opportunity and is open about them to aid themselves and team members.
  • Flexible and willing to embrace regular changes in working practice and pattern, which may involve hot-desking or working extended hours to handle peaks or issues.
