We have an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused and process driven Operations Manager to join the Teaching and Curriculum Product Team, which is committed to providing high-quality innovative English language teaching courses and qualifications worldwide. As Operations Manager, you will effectively manage the Operations Team who look after all of our learners and exam centres, leading on process implementation, whilst maintaining the highest of standards, driving efficiencies throughout the business.

Ensuring Operational Excellence

Responsible for your team’s performance in delivering the end-to-end business operations, in accordance with specified standard operating procedures, you will nurture an adherence to process and policy, with a focus on delivering core performance and data quality metrics. You will also take the lead on hiring, management, and development of an Operations team ensuring a culture of operational excellence. 

 

Centre of activity

Collaboration skills are key, as you will be working closely with internal stakeholders and other Product teams to drive improvements to the product portfolio, ensuring the highest quality experience for our customers.

Maintaining a strong feedback loop with the Assessment Management and Operations teams, you will help to build and implement the operations processes and strategies that drive business growth and efficiency for our customers. 

 

What you'll need

We are looking for someone who has experience of working in a busy Operations team at a Manager level with the experience of managing and motivating teams working under pressure to demanding deadlines. 

 

Essential
•    Experience of working in business operations.
•    Strong inter-personal skills and significant leadership experience.
•    Customer-centric approach to solving problems and providing best-in-class service. 
•    Desire and motivation to build a high standard of service.
•    Careful attention to detail with a positive approach to challenges.
•    Proven Lean Six Sigma experience in operational, process, and performance improvement projects including process mapping and process re-design.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•    Ability to overcome adversity or resistance to change and influence others to drive the highest results.

 

Desirable
•    Knowledge of assessment in education and teacher development
•    Knowledge and experience of product lifecycle management 
•    Confidence to present to senior managers in key decision-making settings.
