What it's about

 

This is a multi-faceted job where the International Education Officer, which is a fixed-term role until December 2020 plays a key role in supporting the Business to Government and Consultancy Services Team in identifying, progressing and delivering opportunities, including supporting the project management of education reform projects.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

In this diverse role, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

 

  • Providing essential support to the coordination and management of B2G bids and proposals; from identification, evaluation, writing responses and submission.
  • Management of small scale (or providing project management support to large scale) international education projects, including budget monitoring, project plans, consultant commissioning.
  • Supporting with the production of country briefs on priority B2G countries through desk based research and analysis.
  • Monitoring key procurement and education intelligence websites and actively identifying B2G English language education reform programmes.
  • Implementing strategy for raising international education projects profile via internal and external news systems.
  • Maintaining and updating records of projects in the pipeline and using systems such as CRM and Power BI to carry this out and to generate reporting.
  • Updates to the team website and consultancy services marketing collaterol.
  • Administrative tasks, such as servicing consultancy services meetings and logistical coordination of high level visit programmes to Cambridge from B2G clients.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) is essential with a postgraduate degree in a relevant field is desirable

Skills 

  • Motivated self-starter
  • Able to get up to speed quickly
  • Proactive
  • Excellent planning and project management skills
  • Excellent professional writing skills (including marketing oriented copy)
  • Ability to work under pressure.

 

Experience:

  • Knowledge of global international education markets
  • Knowledge of Cambridge English products
  • Experience in researching and evaluating business opportunities
  • Experience in a customer facing role
  • Processes and services
  • Strong IT skills (including Microsoft Excel and Project) and with CRM databases.
