What it’s about

Cambridge Assessment has a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about internal communications and engagement to gain experience in a rapidly transforming organisation. Sitting within our Group Internal Communications and Employee Experience team, this person will deliver a trusted, expert and innovative service to leaders and colleagues across Cambridge Assessment.


What you’ll be doing

At a time of considerable cultural change for our international organisation, this is a great opportunity to support our people by delivering excellent internal communications that help individuals, teams and business units to understand the role they play in making our ambitious strategic priorities a reality.

You will be responsible for managing, and measuring the effectiveness of, a range of Group internal communication channels including our intranet, curating and generating content that brings our purpose, strategy and values to life and inspiring and motivating colleagues. You will also provide administrative support to the wider team on projects, campaigns and events and have specific responsibility for providing internal communications and engagement advice to a number of Cambridge Assessment’s Corporate Services departments.


What we’re looking for

Alongside your excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills, you will also be a natural multi-tasker who is confident in managing a diverse range of stakeholders.

You will have worked for at least a year in an internal communications or employee engagement role within a multi-site/international organisation. We are looking for:


  • Excellent writing, editing and design skills.
  • Highly developed verbal and presentation skills.
  • Experience of managing intranets, with good technical knowledge of SharePoint and similar content management systems.
  • Excellent organisational and event management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Experience of partnering with departments, getting to grips with complex content and requirements, and translating these into clear and engaging content.
  • Confidence in communicating, influencing, and building partnerships at all levels within an organisation.
  • Clear understanding and a proven track record of managing and developing content for online and traditional communications channels, including the web, social media, intranets, print media and presentations, for a range of internal audiences and their needs.
  • Ability to react flexibly under pressure and to work to tight deadlines.
