What it’s about

OCR has an exciting opportunity for a Communications Co-ordinator within its Customer Service and Support Team. The team acts as the face of OCR for exams officers in schools and colleges and is responsible for delivering training, support and targeted communications to these customers, and using their feedback to drive forward improvements to the way things work. A varied role, the Communications Co-ordinator will play a key part in supporting exams officers as they administer our assessments.

 

What you’ll be doing

The Communications Co-ordinator is responsible for external communications through a variety of media. You will:

  • Write and send newsletters and targeted emails to exams officers.
  • Manage the production of qualification updates to our customers
  • Maintain the admin section of the public and secure websites using content management systems.
  • Quality assure complaint responses to exams officers
  • Provide insight and updates to the Customer Support Centre

 

What we’re looking for

Skills:

  • strong communicator with excellent writing and editing skills.
  • able to write a wide variety of communications, from instructions for the web to complaint responses.
  • good eye for detail whilst also being able to consider the bigger picture.
  • outstanding proofreading skills, which you should be prepared to demonstrate at interview.
  • a confident user of Microsoft Office.
  • Work as part of a team and liaise with other teams across the business, but also spend time working on your own initiative.
  • Time management and the ability to work confidently under pressure are key.

Experience:

  • Experience of working with web content management systems would be an advantage.
