What it’s about


The post holder has a key role in securing new business for Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing’s range of products and services. This customer-facing role initiates and helps manage our relationships with key customers as part of the implementation of the business development strategy. The successful applicant would join at an exciting time of expansion for the business in both the UK and a wide variety of overseas markets


What you’ll be doing


The main facets of the role encompass:

  • The formulation and implementation of strategic business development plans and short/medium term sales and marketing plans to ensure revenue targets are met.
  • Close liaison with Cambridge Assessment staff in overseas offices to extend our sales capacity.
  • The provision of market analysis (including customer feedback) to inform the development of both new business opportunities and product roadmaps.


What we’re looking for


The applicant will have first-class communication skills necessary to build excellent relationships with internal and external colleagues and customers. The applicant will bring a flexible and pro-active approach harnessed to an ability to work to tight deadlines. The ability to collaborate in order to deliver on agreed strategy will be key.

Candidates will need to be able to evidence significant work experience in a business development (preferably educational) context dealing with high level external clients.


A good knowledge of Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing products and markets and the admissions and selection industry e.g. for higher education, healthcare would be an advantage
