JOB PURPOSE

 

To actively support the work within Assessment in delivering efficient and effective examinations through Pretesting administration, providing support to the Assessment Managers and working as a team supporting other Assessment Administrators.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • To take responsibility for the timely and accurate delivery of an agreed set of Pretesting processes to agreed procedures
  • To provide high quality administrative services by using Microsoft Office and other internal systems
  • To liaise effectively with customers and external Examiners as required via telephone, email and face-to-face, providing excellent customer service both internally and externally
  • To work to agreed deadlines and provide reports on progress as required to senior management
  • To establish and maintain effective liaison between own team and colleagues across the organisation
  • To take part in new developments and the delivery of new products and services as required
  • Other duties as defined by the line manager

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

Qualifications

 

At least Grade C English at GCSE level or equivalent

 

Skills

 

Essential

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively and meet deadlines
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure

 

Desirable

  • Ability to use own initiative to suggest improvements to systems or processes
  • Knowledge of the Cambridge Assessment English product range

 

Experience

 

Essential

  • Significant experience of working in a busy and complex office environment
  • Experience of data processing
  • Experience of providing a high level of customer service
  • Experience of working with complex systems
