Operations Administrator (maternity cover)

What it is about

We are looking for a maternity leave cover for the Office Administrator to work in the Berlin office. You will support a small dedicated international team working across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Our work is very diverse and comprises marketing activities such as events and digital marketing as well as professional support for teachers and customer services. The Office Administrator is key in providing general and project support for all team members and liaises directly with colleagues in our central office in Cambridge and in our regional office in Paris.


What you will be doing

  • Financial Management, incl. basic book-keeping and accounts and expenditure tracking
  • Facilities Management, incl. Health and Safety
  • Liaison with service providers
  • First-line customer support
  • Project Support
  • Desk-based market research and information gathering


What we are looking for

You will have been educated to Abitur level or equivalent, have at least 2 years of further education with a vocational degree and ideally some job experience in a comparable post, including working with financial data. You will have excellent communication skills, together with strong organisational and administrative capabilities.  Native level competency of written and spoken German together with C1 level English (Common European Framework of Reference level) is essential as well as a strong computer literacy, including knowledge and ability in Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as internet research skills.


The ability to organise work effectively using initiative, often under pressure to meet deadlines, is essential, as is a willingness to work flexibly both independently and as part of a team. An interest in the education market and intercultural awareness would be desirable.
